May News Part Two: Creative Empowerment & A Potential Investing Opportunity
An Exciting Opportunity for Investors (Part Two)
In the Zen
I am excited to be in current talks with my film In the Zone: Rick Kilburn with a Hollywood, Los Angeles, global distributor. There are many steps to complete before such an acquisition can take place including adding in a potential new investor(s). If you think that this opportunity may be of interest to you, DM or email and I as the Director will put together a media kit and investor information package to send out to you.

Re: My Nanaimo, BC, short film In the Zone: Rick Kilburn's past 13 million hits &12.7 million IMDB hits as a Director in February 2024 (and September 2023). The total now is at 16 awards, with 13 in film, 2 music (Canada), one in radio (USA), 6 awards total from the USA. Film: including three Hollywood Best Web and New Media awards, Japan (2), Las Vegas Movie Awards (2), China (1), Toronto (1), Milan (1), S. Korea (1), Hollywood (3), London(1), and Nanaimo (1).
I was the Director/Producer/Editor of the film, made possible thanks to the cast, and crew and phenomenal staff on the Shaw Spotlight team and my past inspirational mentor TV Producer/Director Todd Jones.
If you yourself think that you would like to discuss your role as an interested investor, or as a small donor ($275-$3999.00) or large donor ($4,000-50,000.00+), please get in touch. The film will be distributed around the world once the deal finalizes once we get through all the steps including tech and editing. The film requires touch up editing and poster adjustments funding as requested by the distributor, and a $20,000.00 CAD or more investment into future years with marketing with a Hollywood film firm, and additional extra funds for overseas and/or Canadian virtual assistants/staff during marketing campaigns and at other times ongoing.
I have had my tech supervisor from the film look over the specs of what the distributor is asking for and we are in a good shape after we get some editing done. Everyone is working with very full schedules, so I will be tackling the work as we can and figuring out the details and organizational structure as we get going on the tech.
Due to consistent global inquiries staff may be becoming necessary. There is still immense interest in the film, Rick Kilburn still often achieves 10 to 12 million hits or more on a daily basis since I released the film starring him as the main feature artist, so there is still a lot of interest globally.
I found the global film fest and past fan inquiries to be many and due to recent keynote speaking I have a lot of people contacting me and require staff assistance due to the film work we are getting going for distribution, and being asked to speak on podcasts, internet TV, etc., is taking up time. A VA or two or an admin assistant is on the list.
Some of the costs the film will have include extensive marketing, publicity, funnels, ads, incorporation, accounting/bookkeeping, professional and membership fees, trademarking and branding in US and Canada, GDRP details, legal fees, administrative staff, commercial insurance, virtual assistants, possible travel, and other additional costs.

We need new edits and minor changes as we go for the distributorโs preferred requirements, so we have technical fees to pay our editor and technical supervisor, with poster redesigns and/or adjustments that will last over many years.
Top 5 reasons why you should donate (or invest) in my filmmaking:
1. This is an exciting adventure! Film is a ton of fun, Hollywood-inspired details around the marketing are quite something just in themselves, and films bring in often four to six decades of revenue, and that can be very lucrative!
2. My past work: In the Zone: Rick Kilburn is a feel-good, happy and inspiring film with zero violence and is completely โclean.โ It was made just before the pandemic and has won 13 awards, the recent 13th was from the WIN Nanaimo Women of Influence Awards Creative Innovator Award in February 2024.
I felt so humbled and honoured to be recognized with the talented crew and cast by the Nanaimo community. This was work that could not be acknowledged prior due to the pandemic entertainment industry lockdown from March 2020-May 2022 in Canada. It felt really great to see the crew and cast get acknowledged locally publicly.
3. The film has already been seen globally and needs to conquer the world! From South Korea, Japan, China, France, London, Berlin, Toronto, BC, Hollywood, Las Vegas, to Switzerland and Australia, the film is getting around!

4. A taste of a bit of Hollywood through your donation or investment will get you exclusive email newsletter blasts and updates and all the insider and fan details and donors with Hollywood distribution and a future film adventure, that will take many months of fundraising!
For $275 non-anonymous investors and donors there are perks like your business name website mentions, blog edition, and newsletter donor and investor preferred mentions and YouTube shoutouts.
